Bozeat Schol has an ECO team. It is made up of children, members of staff, parents and members of our village. We meet as a committee every half term where we decide on our activities. We have achieved our Bronze and Silver Awards and are now working towards our Green Flag Award.

In school we have several areas we concentrate on and they are as follows:

Energy: We try to reduce waste within school and run ‘Switch off Fortnight’ on a regular basis, we make all people in our school community aware of the need to conserve energy.

Outdoor Environment:

We care for various animals within our environment. Currently we care for Hens, Rabbits and sometimes animals within the classrooms.

We have a vegetable garden that has flourished this year with an abundant crop, many thanks to Mrs Hill for her work with the children.

A Healthy Lifestyle:

It is important that children follow a healthy lifestyle. We encourage the children to consider this idea through healthy eating and regular exercise.

Preventing litter:

We run regular campaigns to highlight the problems of litter in school and the wider village environment.

The   Eco Committee runs an annual ECO Market in the Summer Term where we sell a variety of ECO friendly products.

The ECO Committee is always on the lookout for new adult members to join us. If you are interested and can give up some of your time please contact school.
