The children and staff continue to be busy in their learning! One of our big drives over the coming year is to ensure that our Creative Curriculum continues to be exciting and relevant to our children; providing opportunities for the development of key skills which will support the children in being well prepared for the next stage in their education and beyond.
We are keen to develop the leadership potential of our children and our Year 5&6 children have applied for the role of 'Peer Mentors' in school. They had job descriptions and had to complete an application form which I was very impressed by. They will be having their official training in a couple of weeks time. who knows we could be nurturing a future leader!
Our Junior Leadership Team have had a great start to their roles and are busy preparing their own assembly for Children In Need on Friday. They have insisted that they do not need Miss Baggott's support with this so will be meeting by themselves this week! I am looking forward to their assembly on Friday.
Just on the same note as leadership, Governors and I spent a day last week discussing various school priorities and how we will be planning the year ahead. This was a very positive day and I will be sharing our key priorities to you all very soon.
